Ruby E. Gibbs

Services for Ruby E. Gibbs, 77, of Logansport, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday January 10, 2008 at Marocco Funeral Chapel, 119 E. Market St., Logansport.
She died at 1:56 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2008 at Woodbridge Health Campus, Logansport.
Born March 15, 1930 in Wells County, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Elwood C. and Lula (Payne) Miller. On May 5, 1984 she married Harry D. Gibbs, Sr. in Logansport and he preceded her in death June 24, 1999.
She was a member of Grace Fellowship Church and the VFW Ladies Auxillary, both of Logansport. She also formerly volunteered at Logansport Memorial Hospital and she enjoyed crocheting, puzzlebooks and reading.
Ruby was a former beautician who had worked at the Beauty Box in Logansport and she retired from Switches/Federal Mogul, Logansport in 1991.
Surviving are 2 sons Donald N. Shepard (Lynn) and Joseph E. Shepard (Wilma) both of Logansport, 2 daughters, Carol A. Pursch (Jay) of Logansport and Beverly S. Sargent (Robert) of Indianapolis, 3 step sons, Carl Gibbs (Linda), Harry D. Gibbs, Jr. (Joyce) both of Logansport and David J. Gibbs of LaPorte, 2 step daughters Janice Brugnoli of Pennsylvania and Joyce Atkinson of LaPorte, 3 brothers Clayton Miller (Phyllis) of Columbia City, Jim Miller (Agatha) of Warren and Bud Miller (Sharon) of Bluffton, 2 sisters Catherine Patch (Jim) of Kentucky and Martha Nicholson of Bluffton, 13 Grandchildren, 9 Step Grandchildren and many Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and 1 brother Alfred Miller. Pastor Art Maloney will officiate at the services.
Burial will be in Ever Rest Memorial Park, Logansport. Friends may call 4 -8 p.m., Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at Marocco Funeral Chapel, 119 E. Market St., Logansport.
