Russell Collins, Jr., 86, of Logansport passed away peacefully at 7:43 a.m., Monday, February 3, 2020 at Woodbridge Health Campus.
Born on September 7, 1933 in Logansport, he was the son of the late William Russell and Ethel M. (Hunter) Collins.
On July 11, 1959 he married Mary Katherine Hellyer, she preceded July 25, 1989.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Russell was a farmer. He enjoyed drinking coffee, chewing Skoal and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his children, Sherry Pfaff of Logansport, Brenda Farrell (Larry) of Peru, Mark Collins (Bev) of Logansport, Joyce Cunningham (Michael) of Logansport, Russell Collins, III of Logansport, Patti Collins of Logansport, Ronnie Collins (Billie Jo) of Logansport and Reva Taylor (Demetrius) of Logansport, brother, Gary Collins of Indianapolis, sisters, Donna Anderson (Jack) of Logansport, Doris Griffith of Logansport, Pat Hopper of Indianapolis and Helen Guy (Skeet) of Logansport. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by daughter, Tammy Kruger, brothers, Roy Collins, Tom Collins and Bill Collins, sisters, Barb Gabelli, Charlotte Collins and Mary Hughes.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Rans Funeral Home & Crematory, Marocco Chapel, 119 E. Market St., Logansport.
Graveside Services with Military Rites will be performed at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 6, 2020 at the Mt. Hope Cemetery Chapel with Kelly Spencer officiating.
