Ruth E. Swank, 83 of Logansport formerly of Lucerne passed at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at Chase Center.

Born on March 8, 1941 in Cass County, she was the daughter of the late James and Mae (Blackburn) Swank.

She formerly worked at R.B.M., T.M. Morris and the Woodlawn Center. Ruth was a member of Indian Creek Christian Church and attended Metea Baptist Church.

She enjoyed painting by number, bingo, word search and jigsaw puzzles.

Ruth had 5 sisters and 4 brothers, Etta Byers of Camden, Gene and Carol Swank of Galveston, Robert and Bonnie Swank of New Jersey, Jerry and Kathy Swank of North Carolina and Richard and Nina Holle of Logansport and sister-in-law, Pat Swank Hughes. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by brother, John Swank and sisters, Donabelle Hinkle (Kenny), Kathryn Caldwell (Francis), Joyce Layer Miller (Robert) and brother-in-law, Ralph Byers.

Services will be at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Harrison Chapel, 304 S. Chicago St., Royal Center.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be at Indian Creek Christian Cemetery.

Her family would like to thank all the nurses and personnel at Chase Center who cared for Ruth.
