Sally Kaply

Sally Kaply, 91 of Royal Center passed away at 3:30 a.m., Monday, December 20, 2010 at her residence.

Born on November 26, 1919 in Gary, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Wyper) Milligan. She married J.E. Kaply in 1939 and he preceded her in death in 2004.

Sally was a homemaker and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. She enjoyed animals, especially her beloved dog Marissa who protected her to the end, nature, and watching her hummingbirds. Sally was a loving mother who enjoyed spending time with family and talking to them daily on the telephone

Survivors include sons, Robert A. Kaply and wife, Janet Lynn of LaCrosse, William E. Kaply and wife, Linda of San Pierre, Richard L. Kaply of Dayton, Indiana, and Charles D. Kaply and wife, Carolyn of Medora, daughters, Beverly M. Knill and husband, Robert and Judith A. Dolick and husband, Jerry both of Lafayette, Barbara J. Roth and husband, John of Fairborn, Ohio, Sharron L. Hoover and husband, Elmer of Star City and Carol S. Dutchess and husband, Michael of Walton, sister, Margaret Carpenter of Portage, 19 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by 2 sons, Gary D. Kaply and Gerald J. Kaply, granddaughter, Laurie Ann Knill, 5 brothers, Robert, James, Albert, Jack, Charles and Harold Milligan and 1 sister, Anna Lowe.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center chapel.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

Burial will be at Winamac Cemetery at a later date.
