Sandra E. Funk, 90 of Star City formerly of Lucerne passed away peacefully at 9:27 a.m., Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Pulaski Healthcare Center.

Born on November 6, 1934 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Bessie (Graham) Prentice.

On November 6, 1953 she married Clive “Tate” Funk. He preceded her in death in 2001.

Sandy formerly worked at Bolins Bakery, Chase Center, Logansport State Hospital and then retired after 20 years at Oak Grove Restaurant in Star City.

She was a member of Royal Center United Methodist Church and TOPS. Sandy enjoyed reading and spending time with family.

Survivors include her children, Margaret Roberts (Lucas) of Arizona, Marvin Funk (Patricia) of Macy, Mary Campbell (Herb) of Star City and Marcia Funk of Wabash and brother, Barry Prentice (Connie) of Logansport. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, one brother, Marlen Prentice and sisters, Dawn Jarvis and Audrey Prentice.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 10, 2025 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Harrison Chapel, 304 S. Chicago St., Royal Center.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Burial will follow at Kistler Cemetery in Royal Center.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Bright Focus Macular Degeneration and/or the American Cancer Society.
