Scott D. Mersch

Scott D. Mersch, 59 of Kewanna, died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at his residence.

Born on December 24, 1962 in Rochester, he was the son of the late Larry and Vivian (Holcomb) Mersch.

Scott was a 1981 Culver High School graduate. After graduating, Scott served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He later re-enlisted into the U.S Army and served in Afghanistan.

He worked at Republic Services, formerly Allied Waste, for many years.

Surviving are his wife, Renee Mersch of Kewanna, children, Anthony Mersch of Arizona, Dustin Mersch of Florida and Dennis Mersch of Nappanee, Kelly Schuldt (Kevin) of Grand Rapids, MI. and Kevin Ahlenius of Knox, brothers, Stacey Mersch (Patty) of Nappanee, Bart Mersch (Crystal) of Missouri, sisters, Juanita Rude (Joe) of Kewanna and Julie Mooney (John) of Kewanna and grandchildren, Natalie Mersch, Hudson and Isla.

Per Scott’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service.

The family request that memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Metzger Chapel, Kewanna.
