Sharon Sue Carlson

Sharon Sue Carlson, 68 of Kewanna, died at 8:15 p.m., Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Woodlawn Hospital in Rochester.
Born December 1, 1942 in South Bend, she was the daughter of the late Maurice L. and Mary Lu (Moody) Corbett.
She had been Head Cook at Kewanna High School for many years before their close and also had been a longtime EMT for the Kewanna Volunteer Fire Department. She retired from Woodlawn Hospital in 2010 where she had worked in the Emergency Room.
She attended the Kewanna Church of Christ. Her hobbies were reading, crocheting and swimming with her grandchildren. Sharon was a friend and mother to all who knew her.
Survivors include her children, Glenda Sue Urbin and husband, Rex, Timothy L. Carlson and wife, Nancy, both of Kewanna, Cynthia L. Shayler and husband, Fred of Hamlet, NC., Theodore A. Carlson and fiancA�?AC., Juli Stetler of Knoxville, TN., brothers, Danny Corbett of Terre Haute, Gregory Corbett and wife, Sharon of North Pole, AK., and sisters, Michele Corbett of Kewanna, Nancy Wanner and husband, Don of Abilene, TX., grandchildren, Ryan Urbin, Theresa Urbin, Wesley Urbin, Danielle Carlson, Matthew Carlson, Casey Carlson, Heidi Eisbrenner, Derek Eisbrenner and Zachery Carlson. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna Chapel with Chaplain Jason See officiating.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday.
Burial will be at Moon Cemetery in Kewanna.
