Shirley J. (Blickenstaff) Jackson

January 1, 1959 — October 19, 2016

Shirley Jean Jackson, 57, of Royal Center passed away unexpectedly at 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at her residence.

She was born on January 1, 1959 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Aileen “Polly” (Druley) Blickenstaff.  On May 10, 1980 she married Jim Jackson. He survives.

She was a 1977 Pioneer High School graduate.

Shirley was a dedicated homemaker and was currently employed at Advance America in Logansport.

She enjoyed reading, traveling and caring for her cats. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and making people laugh. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Jackson of Royal Center, daughter, Alayna Adair (Shane) of Denver, Colorado, sons, Randy Jackson (Summer) and Dan Jackson (Katie) both of Logansport, grandchildren, Donovan and Preston, both of Logansport, brother, Allen Blickenstaff (Cheryl) of Logansport and sister, Nancy Taylor (Don) of Royal Center.

She was also preceded in death by brother, Fred Blickenstaff and sisters, Janet Shoaf and Joyce Campbell.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel.

A Celebration of Shirley’s Life will follow at her son, Dan’s residence at 2041 N. Royal Center Pike, Logansport.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Cass County Animal Shelter.
