Sidney R. Kent

Sidney R. Kent, 96, of Logansport passed away peacefully at 3:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born on October 18, 1924 in Cave City, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Walter and Lottie (Boles) Kent.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Sidney retired from Delco of Kokomo in 1980.  He also was a member of UAW Local #292. Sidney loved living his life to the fullest . He enjoyed doing so many things including taking care of his horses, drinking beer, gardening, fishing, hunting, camping, visiting Arkansas in July to get watermelons, riding around on his Kubota, going to breakfast at Bullshippers with Louie Marocco, watching birds, shooting squirrels, playing with his grand dogs and Max (Marlene’s Dog) and most of all he loved his family more than anything.

Survivors include his children, Steven Kent of Sharpsville and Marlene Stoller of Logansport, Grandchildren, Caleb Bowen (Katie) of Logansport, Lauren Wagner (David) of Star City, Cody Kent of Sharpsville, Kelly Kent of Kokomo. Great grandchildren, Rylan Stoller and Koralynn Neal.

He was also preceded in death by 4 sisters, Lessie, Bonnie, Irene and Inez.

Services will be at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Marocco Chapel, 119 E. Market St., Logansport.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  There will be a Wake following the service at Marlene’s house, 2150 S. CR 400 E., Logansport. Everyone is welcomed.
