Simon Junior Denny, 92, of Logansport passed away at 9:45 a.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo.
Born on May 16, 1927 in Royal Center, he was the son of the late Simon Charles and Ruby Mae (Bucks) Denny.
He attended Royal Center schools. Simon was a U.S. Army veteran serving in WWII.
He married Maxine Wootten on February 14, 1948 in Lafayette. She preceded in death on April 10, 2006.
Simon was a retired conductor from Pennsylvania Railroad and a legislative representative for the UTU.
He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Walton F&AM, Ft. Wayne Scottish Rite and the Logansport Shrine Club.
Survivors include his children, Michael Denny (Susanne) of South Carolina, Keith Denny (Debra) of Plainfield, Timothy Denny of Logansport, Simon Denny III (Ann) of Kokomo and Patsy Denny of Ft. Wayne, brothers, Tom Denny (Jan) of Logansport and Richard Denny (Jean) of Minnesota. He was also survived by 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by brothers, Ben, Ike, Glen, Norman and Donald Denny and sisters, Betty Rose, Bonnie Sibley, June Hufford and Leah Millner.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m., December 7, 2019 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Marocco Chapel in Logansport with Pastor Jim Zimmerman officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Burial will be at Ever Rest Memorial Park.
