Steven A. Schroder, 66, of Lucerne passed away at 5:10 p.m., Monday, March 5, 2012 at his residence. Born on June 30, 1945 in Cass County, he was the son of the late Clifford and Margaret (Henderson) Schroder. On January 4, 1964 he married Pamela S. Kantzer. He was a 1963 Royal Center High School graduate. Steve retired in 2008 from Matthew- Warren in Logansport after 45 years. He attended Baptist Christian Church in Royal Center. Steve enjoyed golfing, fishing, woodworking and vacationing with his family. Survivors include his wife, Pamela S. Schroder of Lucerne, son, Kyle A. Schroder and wife Lisa of Rochester, daughter, Kelley S. Magee and husband John of Royal Center, brother, Charles Schroder of Royal Center, sister, Pat Rozzi of Logansport and grandchildren, Keisha Magee and fiancA�AC., Michael Sherwood of Peru, Katelin Magee of Indianapolis, Jacob Schroder of Rochester and Justin Schroder of Rochester. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Jack, Bill, Don, Tom, Jim, Ralph and David Schroder. Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 9, 2012 at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel with Pastors Richard Utterback and Dirk Raderstorf officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Kistler Cemetery in Royal Center. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Scalpel at the Cross, c/o Kyle and Lisa Schroder, 1920 Maples Court, Rochester, IN. 46975 and/or Hope Hospice.
