Ted L. Blevins
January 3, 1949 — October 14, 2012
Ted L. Blevins, 63, of Logansport, passed away at 3:05 p.m., Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Ft. Wayne.
Born on January 3, 1949 in Itawamba County, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Joseph and Tressie (West) Blevins. On December 31, 1966 he married Ruth Rossi, she survives.
Ted was a 1967 Royal Center High School graduate.
He worked 25 years at Wilson Food's where he served as the UFCW Local President for 15 years. He retired in 2009 from Chrysler after 14 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also loved spending time with his family and siblings.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Blevins of Logansport, sons; Joseph Blevins and wife Kelly of Peru, and Christopher Blevins and wife Victoria of Russiaville, brothers; Jim Blevins and wife Linda of Elkhart, Gary Blevins and wife Deb of Alabama, Rick Blevins and wife Ellen of Logansport and sister, Susie Stout and husband Wayne of Logansport. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
He was also preceded in death by sister, Shirley (Blevins) Maloy.
Due to Ted's request, there will be no visitation or services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Marocco-Rans Funeral Chapel.
