Terry L. Rogers

Terry Lynn Rogers, 56, of Winamac passed away at 2:10 a.m., Sunday, September 29, 2013 at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 11, 1956 in Logansport, she was the daughter of Bernard A. and Marjorie (Murphy) Scheffer. On July 26, 1983 she married Sam P. Rogers, he survives. She was a Winamac High School graduate. Terry was formerly employed at the Braun Corporation, Plymouth Tube and she also formerly worked with her father at Scheffer's Well Drilling for 17 years. She was an avid animal lover, trail riding at Tippecanoe State Park and just being outdoors was her passion. Survivors include her husband, Sam P. Rogers of Winamac, mother, Marjorie Scheffer of Monterey, sister, Judy Smith of Monterey, brothers, Keith Scheffer (Deb) of Star City and Greg Scheffer (Becky) of North Webster. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins,her beloved dogs, Ellie Mae and Lex and her horse, Dawber. She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard A. Scheffer. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Royal Center Chapel. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
