Services for Tom Osborn, 75 of Star City, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, 304 S. Chicago St., Royal Center.
He passed away at 6:45 p.m., March 29, 2009 at his residence.
Born on March 4, 1934 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Chester Osborn and Mary Ellen (Leffel) Dickens. On November 23, 1963 he married Betty G. Wallen , she survives.
Tom retired from Plymouth Tube Company, Winamac and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Lodge 2580, Winamac. His hobbies included fishing, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Betty G. Osborn, Star City, 2 sons, Mark Eugene Osborn and his wife, Diane of Elkhart and Daniel Osborn and companion, Alisha Ludwig of Brookston, 1 daughter, Wanda L. Stout and her husband Leroy, Jr. of Star City, 6 grandchildren, Ashley, Alisha, Briget, Adam, Trisha and Trent, and 3 great grandchildren, Aiden, Kael and Addison. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Catherine Whitehead and Infant sons, William Allen and Robert Dean Osborn.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at the funeral home.
