Thomas E. Prophet Sr

Thomas E. Prophet Sr., 57, of Logansport, passed away at 11:45 p.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Central Hospital in Lafayette.

Born on December 16, 1955 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Dale and Barbara (Russell) Prophet.

Tom retired from Indiana Packers in Delphi. He also formerly served in the Indiana National Guard. Tom enjoyed playing Santa for many years throughout the community.

Survivors include sons; Thomas Prophet Jr. (Julie), and Shaun Prophet all of Monticello, daughter, Candy Catt of Logansport, father, Bill Watts (Rosemary) of Winamac, brothers, Johnny Watts (Melissa) of Winamac, Jack Prophet (Kim) of Logansport and Dale Prophet, Jr., of Logansport, sisters, Tammy Brown (Rich) of Winamac, Ginger Elpers (Dave) of Logansport, Sue Welch (Dave) of Logansport and Tammy Doss (William Harts) of Logansport and grandchildren, Jamie Prophet, Connor Prophet and Cadence Prophet all of Monticello. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and his beloved dog and best friend, Bandit.

He was preceded in death by his mother and step father, Barbara (Russell) and Dale Prophet, Sr.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Marocco-Rans Funeral Chapel.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
