Tim Troutman

Tim Troutman, 72, of Kewanna passed away peacefully at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at home.

Born on April 13, 1948 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Omer and Mildred (Shaw) Troutman.

He was a 1967 Kewanna High School graduate.

Tim was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps and served in the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.  He later joined the U.S. Army and served in Operation Desert Storm where he received the Bronze Star and retired from the Army in 1998 as Sergeant First Class.

He retired from Plymouth Tube in 2010.  Tim was a Lifetime and charter member of the Kewanna James F. Talbott VFW Post 1121 and a member of  the American Legion in Rochester.

Tim enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards with Terry and friends, and attending as many sporting events of his grandchildren as possible. He was very proud of his time in the Marines and Army and made many life long friends.

Survivors include his daughters, Teresa Davis (David) of Leiters Ford and Andrea Callahan (Eric) of Winamac, brother, Terry Troutman (Darlene) of Kewanna, grandchildren, Tiffany Rimpler (Garrett) of Winamac, Brandon Conner of North Judson, Tristan Conner of California, Whitney Hook of Winamac, Rylee Daugherty of Winamac, Meghan Brewer (Jordan) of Mooresville, Kelsey Callahan of Mooresville and Brenna Callahan of Mooresville.  He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by sister, Trudy Haney, step brother James Cohagen, and step mother, Grace Troutman.

The funeral service will be private, however, the visitation and graveside service will be open to the public.

Visitation will be held from 2:00-6:00 p.m., on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Metzger Chapel in Kewanna.

Graveside Service with Military Rites performed will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, August 31, 2020 at Barnett Cemetery.
