Trudy A. (Needler) Ryan

September 26, 1945 — April 18, 2017

Trudy A. (Needler) Ryan, 71, of Logansport passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Parkview Hospital in Ft. Wayne.

Born on September 26, 1945 in Hartford City, she was the daughter of Dwane T. and Violet (Knox) Needler.

Trudy was a 1963 Hartford City High School graduate and she was also a graduate of Ball State University with her bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

On April 1, 1967 she married L. John Ryan, he survives.

She retired from Indiana Family Services in 2010.  Trudy was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and she enjoyed reading, sewing, and watching movies.  She was also an avid I.U. and Butler basketball fan.

Survivors include her husband, John Ryan of Logansport, daughter, Emma “Shelley” M. Haines (Greg) of Ft. Wayne, son, Sean P. Ryan (Crystal) of New Haven, mother, Violet Needler of Logansport and grandchildren, Ryan Haines, Haley Haines and Madison Ryan all of Ft. Wayne.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dwane T. Needler.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 22, 2017 at All Saints Catholic Church in Logansport.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, April 21, 2017 at Marocco-Rans Funeral Chapel where there will also be a Scripture Service at 6:45 p.m.

A graveside service will be at 2:45 p.m., Saturday, April 22, 2017 at St. Louis Besancon Cemetery in New Haven.

Memorial contributions may be made to the McKinney House Activities Dept., American Stroke Association and/or the Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Indiana.
