He died at 9:05 a.m., Monday, May 18, 2009 in St. Vincent Hospice, Indianapolis.

Born on February 22, 1947 in Winamac, he was the son of Vern A., Sr. and Opal A. (Stingley) Kissinger, they survive.
Vern was a U.S. Army veteran and he was currently a mechanic at Sears in Logansport.
He is survived by his parents, Vern A. and Opal A. Kissinger of Royal Center and 1 brother, John E. Kissinger and wife Sharon of Elizabeth, CO. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brother, Richard D. Kissinger.

Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lake Bruce.
