Victor W. Korreckt Sr

Victor W. Korreckt Sr., 84, of Logansport, died at 12:10 a.m., Thursday, January 20, 2011, at Logansport Memorial Hospital, after being ill for 11 years.
Born on November 21, 1926, to the late John Thomas and Ruth (Marvin) Korreckt, in Winamac, Indiana. On October, 29 1955, he married Margaret A. Shideler, who survives.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Victor had formerly worked on the Pennsylvania Railroad, and worked in construction as a member of the Indiana Laborers and HOD Carriers 274.
He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret A. (Shideler) Korreckt, sons; Victor William Korreckt Jr. and wife Barb of Walton, Indiana, Rick Korreckt of Logansport, Frank Korreckt and wife Jennifer of Hoover, Indiana, and Scott Korreckt and wife Dee of Logansport. Brother, Larry Korreckt of Coral Stream, Illinois, sister, Marilyn Dively and husband Frank of Fulton, Indiana, survivors also include 7 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by brothers; Robert Korreckt, and John Korreckt, and also by sisters; Jacklyn Fine, and Judy Stamper.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Marocco Funeral Chapel.
Graveside services and military rites will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Friday, January 28, 2011 at Marion National Cemetery in Marion, Indiana.
