Walter C. DeWitt, 82, of Logansport passed away at 3:52 a.m., Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Miller’s Merry Manor.
Born on March 28, 1938 in Royal Center, he was the son of George and Hazel (Crail) DeWitt.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the Vietnam War from 1960 to 1962.
Walter retired from RBM. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Logansport.
Walter was an avid Logansport Berry fan and attended many sporting events. He enjoyed family gatherings.
Survivors include brother in law, Don Pugh of Logansport and sister in law, Bobbie DeWitt of Monticello. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by brothers, Stanley DeWitt, Donald DeWitt, Raymond DeWitt and Charles “Mickey” DeWitt and sisters, Betty Reynolds and Donnabelle Pugh.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Marocco Chapel, 119 E. Market St., Logansport with Pastor Dirk Raderstorf officiating.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.
Burial with Military Rites will be performed at the Royal Center Cemetery.
