Walter Keith Hamel

Walter Keith Hamel, 88, of Logansport passed away at 5:55 a.m., Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Chase Center, after a five year battle with cancer.
Born on November 5, 1924 in Lafayette, he was the son of the late Walter and Mabel C. Hamel.
Keith was formerly employed in maintenance at Chase Center for several years before he became a resident himself. He took much pride in his work and after his retirement he became a self appointed critic of the people who followed in his job.
He is survived by friends and residents of Chase Center as he knew everyone there. He is also survived by friends, Norman and Mary Lou Kesling of Logansport.
Keith was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Hamel.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Marocco a�" Rans Funeral Chapel.
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the time of the service on Wednesday.
Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted Marocco-Rans Funeral Chapel.
